The most concealed hitch for your 2023 Subaru Ascent is going to be the etrailer Hitch item # e55ZR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Subaru with included hardware.

I really like the etrailer hitch because it installs behind your rear bumper cover and can be completely hidden when you are not towing. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 5,000 lbs towing capacity, and a 750 lbs maximum tongue weight.

If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # C56040 and a ball mount kit item # C45534.

I recommend using the No-Drill Mount Bracket item # 18136 and the item # C42CR to secure the 4-way connector to your hitch. This will put it in an easy to reach spot and prevent the risk of it falling onto the road.
