Question:

I purchased a towing kit for my tesla model 3 expecting the part# tk35vr to be included since it was the same price as some of the universal kits and it was explicitly listed as the reccomended wiring harness kit for the model 3. Why did my kit ship with the cut your new car wiring harness to shreds hoping you dont ruin somethinginch style of harness when its stated clearly in several places its the wrong type?

The kit that you ordered # 391TES317T comes with the stealth hitch towing kit # 391CONVB7. This is a hardwire kit just as shown and stated on the part page. The wiring kit is made specifically for the Tesla Model 3 2017-2023 so it will work nicely for your vehicle.

The Tekonsha TK35VR that you mentioned is not included with what you ordered as it is a separate part from a different manufacturer. That said the TK35VR is on extended backorder and not available at this time. All of the other wiring harnesses we offer will require cutting and splicing of the vehicles wiring.
