The switch you are referencing is a bit confusing right now. That is because some of the converters have the switch and some do not.

In this case, the Progressive Dynamics REL 90A 4500 Series Inteli-Power Converter Section # PD4590CSV does not have the switch and only works with flooded lead acid, AGM, and gel batteries.

If you have lithium batteries, you would need the Progressive Dynamics Lithium 90A 4500 Series Inteli-Power Converter Section # PD4590LICSV.

The confusion is coming from the Progressive Dynamics 4500 Series RV Converter w/ Charge Wizard and AC/DC Distribution Panel # PD4590K18LS8 because the newer versions are coming with converter that has an "LI" and "LA" switch that allows it to work with lithium-ion, flooded lead acid, AGM, and gel batteries. I have included a picture that shows what this switch would look like.
