Just bought fantastic vent 2250 model wanting to get cover for use in rain will this model vent cover the vent and will it allow it to be used when vent is fully open

The Dometic Ultra Breeze Trailer Roof Vent Cover # DMC38FR is designed to cover your vent but it, along with every other brand, will not allow the vent to 100% fully open since they aren't tall enough. Manufacturers have stated that the vent lid opens far enough that the vent will not have a decrease in performance. Since the # FV802250 is a manual lift you'll just want to make sure you aren't forcing up when it's touching the cover because you can end up braking the lift arm.
It's best to install these together at the same time since the mounting brackets for this cover will use the same screws used to mount the Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan # FV802250. If not you'll also want to pick up some more self-leveling sealant # 34427034145-1 to recover up the screws and prevent any leaks.
