Troubleshooting No Power on Running Light Circuit With Furrion Adapter

Question:

I have a 2020 GMC 3500, using this Im still not getting any voltage coming off the running light pin with the lights on. Checked with multimeter at trailer wiring box and directly off pin.

You should have power at the locations you checked with the running lights on, even without the # FR87PR. This makes sure you get enough power to run the cameras. If you don't have power at the junction box or at the tail/running light pin on the adapter check on the vehicle itself. It sounds like you don't have power on your vehicle side 7-way either.

If that is the case, check the fuse on your 2020 GMC 3500. If that checks out then test the wire behind the connector to make sure it has power. It could be a problem with your 7-way connector, or it may have debris or corrosion and needs to be cleaned. If that is not the problem go ahead and check your ground, then start working your way back to see if there is a short in the wiring and repair as needed.
