Question:
Hi, we have a 2010 Blue Ox weight distribution hitch much like the current sway pro model with bars rated to 500 lbs. We would like to upgrade the bars to 750lb - is it still possible to get those old style bars?

Expert Reply:
The old style bars are not going to be available as Blue Ox has phased them out, and I did speak to Blue Ox and they said that the older hitch heads are different so the new Replacement Spring Bars for Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution System # BXW4006 won't work.
With that said, you're going to need an entire new system, unfortunately. The Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control # BXW0750 is a great choice that also comes with the 750-lbs spring bars you were checking out.
This system has a tongue weight range of 550-750-lbs, a gross towing weight capacity of 7,500-lbs, and comes pre-installed with a 2-5/16" ball.
We do also have the other spring bars for this system if you're interested. For a 1,000-lbs set of spring bars you can use # BXW4007, for 1,500-lbs # BXW4008, and for 2,000-lbs # BXW4014.
