Question:
I have questions I was hoping that someone could help me with. I have a 94 tandem axle boat trailer for a 20ft fiberglass boat, with surge brakes. I want to replace the entire braking system and replace the drums with disc brakes. There is only brakes on the front wheels, so I will only need 2 hubs. This is the style of coupler I have if it matters DX56FR. Looking for the whole kit, actuator kits, lines, hubs, disc brakes, everything I would need. Thanks

To go from hydraulic drum brakes to disc brakes you need to know your axle capacity as well as the bearing numbers. You will need to take apart your current hub assembly and look at the bearings themselves; wipe away the grease and you should be able to see the part number stamped directly on them. If you are unable to find them, you need to use a digital caliper measure your spindle to the thousandths of an inch where the bearings ride.
For example, if you have a 3,500 lb axle with inner bearing L68149 and outer bearing L44649 you could use the Kodiak Disc Brakes # KOD59FR.
I have added a link below to our selection of disc brake kits for you. Also, your actuator needs to be for disc brakes, like the # DX56FR you mentioned. And for the brake lines you can use the Kodiak Hydraulic Brake Line Kit - Single Axle - 18' # 18SI-BLKIT.
