This Dexter tandem-axle hanger kit is designed for 10,000- to 15,000-lb heavy-duty axles, giving you the right foundation for reliable strength. It includes 6-1/4" tall front hangers, 4-1/8" tall center hangers, and 7-11/16" tall rear hangers that hold their geometry under load so your suspension stays aligned mile after mile.
Uneven movement between axles can cause bounce and stress on your frame. The kit’s 14-1/4" long left- and right-hand equalizers are matched for 38" axle spacing, helping each axle share the load and move in sync. The result is steadier tracking and smoother towing with less jolt through the trailer.
A strong suspension starts with solid connections. This kit includes the right combination of heavy-duty bolts and locknuts for each pivot point—(4) 5-1/2" long x 1" diameter spring-eye bolts with 1" locknuts, (4) 4-1/2" long x 1/2" diameter spring keeper bolts with 1/2" locknuts, and (2) 6" long x 1-1/8" diameter equalizer bolts with 1-1/8" locknuts. Every piece matches the hanger hole sizes for a tight, precise fit that stays secure.
Finding the right spacing for tandem axles can be tricky. This kit takes out the guesswork with parts sized for 38" axle spacing and a layout proven to maintain even load distribution. The included hanger dimensions and hardware work together to set the correct 33" distance between the front and center hangers and 32-2/5" between the center and rear hangers, keeping your trailer level and tracking straight.

I purchased the 7 leaf sliper spring to replace my old ones. etrailer had all the parts needed to rebuild my trailer. The parts fit perfectly. We purchased this kit to rebuild an older trailer with worn parts. We received the kit promptly, however, the package was compromised and bolts were missing when it arrived. A quick call and the problem was resolved immediately. Two days later all new bolts appeared on our doorstep. Great company that cares about taking care of its customers. We truly appreciated that and will surely order again very soon as we have several trailers in our fleet.
This kit (a dual kit) changed my view of Dexter as a quality-first manufacturer. etrailer simply sells it, they don't make it, so they aren't to blame.
This kit is made specifically for mounting Dexter's General Duty 9,000 lb axles in tandem and is different from kits made for 3500 to 8000 lb axles. It provides extra axle tube to frame clearance to accommodate the 4" axle tubes used on their 9k and 10k GD axles. It uses beefy 7/8" equalizer pivot bolts and 5/8" spring eye bolts. So far, so good. Until you pay over $350 for it and receive a suspension kit with absolutely ZERO lubrication provisions! Seriously, Dexter?!! The bolts provided are all just grade 5 hardware store plain jane dry bolts. Not even grade 8.
Dexter sells 7/8" greaseable "wet bolts" and even their lighter-duty hanger kits include greaseable wet bolts. But even if I paid etrailer the nearly $XX apiece they want for them (they're half that price elsewhere), there is literally no way of putting a square-shouldered carriage-style bolt, which they are, in the round roles this hanger kit was manufactured with without modification. As for the 5/8" spring eye bolts, only a great deal of internet searching will find any wet bolts the right diameter, and they'll be the wrong length. Those 4 bolts are about $20 each plus shipping.
So, by the time I pay a machine shop to square the equalizer bracket holes on and buy all the wet bolts, or have them made, JUST so I can lubricate this expensive hanger kit in hopes of it lasting more than a very short time on a trailer that often grosses 20k, I'm going to have over $500 invested in it, not counting all the extra wasted down-time. This kit was supposed to solve my trailer suspension problems, not create more. FAIL!!
