Blue Ox SwayPro Arm Upgrade Recommendation for Trailer with 942 lbs of Loaded Tongue Weight

Question:
I have a Blue Ox BXW0350. I am buying a new travel trailer with Manufacturer indicated weights: Hitch 594 lbs UVW 5,795 lbs, and a GVWR of 7850. 12 of the GVWR is 942 lbs. Based on what I’ve read here, I should go with a Spring Bar Kit based on that 942 lbs rather than the reported 594 lbs rating. With that being said, I should go with the BXW4007 Kit with 750-1000 lbs bars - Correct? I am buying this quite a distance from home and will not have access to scales let alone all the stuff to load inside. Please advise. Thank you.

Yes, you'll want to use larger bars than the ones that came on your 3.5K Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control # BXW0350.
If all of your cargo will be in your trailer and you can keep the tongue weight at about 942 lbs once it's loaded then the 1K Spring Bars # BXW4007 are the correct replacements for you. If you will have up to 60 lbs of cargo behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle though that will count as tongue weight as well and you'll need to use the 1.5K Spring Bars # BXW4008 instead.
The best way to ensure you get the correct bars is to load up your tow vehicle and trailer as if you are going on a trip and take weight measurements. I understand this is sometimes easier said than done, but if you really aren't sure I recommend waiting until you get home and can measure all of this out just to make sure you have the best system for your towing setup.
