I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e62AR for your Cadillac XT5. This receiver is confirmed to fit from the 2017 to current 2023 model years on the standard XT5. It is a custom fit which is designed to mount behind the factory cutout. I have linked an installation video below which will show you the installation process.
The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118276 will connect to your factory wiring and give you a 7-way connector. I recommend replacing the end connector with the Connector # HM40975 which will give you both the 4-way flat and 7-way blade connector for the most common trailer connectors.
