Question:
I have a 2003 1500hd Quadrasteer truck with a factory hitch that’s showing signs of fatigue cracks. I’d like to find a direct replacement with a minimum weight distribution rating of 12,000 lbs. Which hitches do you have that will fit? Bonus if it has a bracket for the 7-way factory receptacle.

The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 41932 checks all the boxes for you on your 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500HD. It is a bolt on installation with no drilling required, and has a weight distribution rating of 14,000lbs. The 7-Way # PK11893 can be secured using a Mounting Bracket # 18138. If you prefer to have the strongest receiver available the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C15323 has the highest capacity available. It is rated for up to 2,400lbs of tongue weight and a trailer weight of 17,000lbs when using a weight distribution hitch. Be sure to not exceed the rated specification from Chevrolet for your Silverado.
With the Curt receiver you can use the Mounting Brackets # 18138 and # 18136 to secure a 7-Way # PK11893. Or if you prefer the 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket # HM40975 which newer trucks have installed it comes with a mounting bracket you will be able to attach to the Bracket # 18136.
