Troubleshooting A Lippert Smart Electric Trailer Jack That Won't Function

Question:

The trailer has set without use for a couple years , I found a 30 amp fuse blown, replaced it , I have 12 volts going to unit , nothing works ,tried pressing and holding buttons , have a good battery power going to unit

If the fuse has been replaced and you've confirmed that you have a full 12 volts going to the Lippert Smart Jack Electric Trailer Jack # LC643589 then the jack is most have some sort of wire damage internally or the circuit board is fried. Unfortunately, Lippert doesn't give you the ability to replace any parts on these jacks and essentially requires you to completely replace the jack whenever anything goes out.

I recommend going with a jack like the etrailer Electric Jack w/ Footplate # EJ-3520-BBX since this jack can easily be taken apart and repaired and we carry the replacement parts.
