Question:
Hello, I am looking into installing a hitch on my 2023 Chevy equinox ls awd. I see on the site which hitch to purchase but my question is, which wiring harness should I purchase for my vehicle. I do not have a tow package on the vehicle as an fyi. Thanks in advance!

Since you do not have the factory tow package on your 2023 Chevrolet Equinox you will need a universal wiring harness. There is not a plug and play option at this time without the tow package. You can use the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236. This will splice into your existing wiring and provide you with a 4-way to power your trailer's signal lights.
Since it sounds like you will be towing you will also want a ball mount in addition to the hitch you picked out. I recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. This kit has two ball mounts, one with a 3/4" rise or 2" drop and the other with a 2-3/4" rise or 4" drop. It also comes with a 1-7/8" and 2" ball, as well as a ball mount bag to store everything in.
I have attached some review and installation videos for your reference.
