Parts Needed To Add a Factory Style 4-Way/7-Way Connector On 2019 Toyota Tacoma Without Factory Tow

Question:

2019 Toyota Tacoma without factory trailer/towing package I was going to add the Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness w Brake Controller Adapter - 7 Way Trailer Connector Item # 22117 to my Tacoma for Stop, Turn, Backup, Power and Trailer brake control. I would like to use the factory connector hole in the bumper Which would be a Hopkins 40974. Does your Hopkins Multi-Tow 7-Way Blade and 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector - HM11141144 include a 40974 and the harness adaptor? or Do you have the option to replace the under bumper 7 way connector included with 22117 with the HM11141144?

For your 2019 Toyota Tacoma you will be able to plug the Hopkins Connector # HM40975 to the Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness # 22117. This Hopkins is the same as the 40974 but comes with a mounting bracket which you will not use. The connector which comes with the Tekonsha uses the same OE style connector as the Hopkins so there is no additional wiring adapter or splicing required.

The Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR can be mounted in one of the open slots on your dash using the Mounting Panel # 331-TPSI-002. The Wiring Adapter # 331-TPH-017 will allow you to connect directly to the Tekonsha wiring from Kit # 22117 so you will not need to do any splicing.
