Question:

Our existing controller is a WFCO 65AMP power converter- Model: WF-9865 I checked everything out, and it is not putting out any power. We plan on switching over to lithium batteries, so we would like to purchase a converter that would work with both lead acid and lithium. Another plan is to eventually add on solar panels, so we would like a converter to work with rust as well. Our main requirement is to keep the batteries fully charged for the refrigerator, furnace, water pump, and lights. Eventually, it would be nice to run the microwave, but that is not a requirement at this time I would just like the ability to build onto the system, and add solar panels as needed. The Progressive Dynamics converter part # PD9180ALV would work great to replace your WF-9865 for an option that is Lithium battery compatible. Only issue is that it does not have a standard lead acid mode. There isn't an option that does both unless you wanted to go with a panel replacement like the # PD4575K18LS8.
