Question:

Flat towing a 2015 JKU with the AEV Premium Bumper. I see this a lot and the answer always involves using the base kit. I spoke directly with Blue Ox tech support about this, and was told that i did not need the base plate. The tow bar would bolt directly to the two frame brackets. Also from the pictures I see with the base plate, I wont be able to use recovery shackles at those points. What do I need to do here?

Blue Ox is very thorough with their testing so if they told you that one of their tow bars like the # BX7420 would attach directly to the lugs of your AEV Premium Bumper it would be true this is possible and would work great.
