Question:

Hello, Ive gotten a lot of great information from your website but I wanted to make sure that you agreed with my final assessment of what I need to buy. I have a 2014Jeep Wrangler JKU with an aftermarket AEV front bumper that I would like to tow behind my Winnebago Vista motorhome. I am looking at the Blue Ox baseplate, BX1133 for the AEV bumper, and then a Blue Ox Ascent Tow Bar, BX4370. Then I was looking to buy a RM-15267 Diode 7 wire to 6 wire kit for the rear brake lights and turn signals for the jeep. Then finally an RM-8700 Invisibrake Braking system to install in the wrangler as well. Does that sound like all I should need for this installation? I saw something about another roadmaster part for the jeep turn signals, but I thought that would be covered in the RM-15267? Please let me know if you think I am missing anything as I would like to order the pieces soon. THanks!

You are on the right track for flat towing your 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with the AEV bumper. The base plate kit part # BX1133 is the correct fit and the Ascent Tow Bar part # BX4370 would work well with this. For lighting the part # RM-15267 is a great choice but instead of the Invisi Brake I would recommend the Demco DUO part # SM99251 as it installs easier and is a more effective braking solution.

Your application would not require a brake light relay either.
