Are Suspension Enhancements Available For A Trailer With Torsion Axles

Question:

Does anyone offer a shock absorber add on kit to put shocks on my camper? I have a 2018 Forestriver 25FKS with tandem torsion axles.

Since the design of torsion axles don't give you any good mounting points to install bump stocks or shocks like leaf spring suspensions do there really isn't anything available to upgrade the ride quality at the axles, but there is another option at your trailer coupler to improve ride quality.

You could use a cushioned ball mount, like the Shocker Hitch Air Cushioned Ball Mount # SHK29VR, which has an air bag that will absorb road shock and reduce chucking for a better ride quality and less wear and tear on your tow vehicle's suspension.

There's quite a few of these ball mounts to fit different drops, ball sizes, weight capacities, etc. so just let me know what you're currently using so I can find the correct one for your needs.

On a side note, if your torsion axle ride quality is deteriorating then it likely means that the internal rubber bumpers are worn and would require replacement of the axles.
