Question:
Hello, I am considering the Hopkins Tail Light Converter Kit 4 pin plug, that I will jumper to a Pollack plastic 7 pin plug, and then bring in brake control and power lines from a Tekonsha Primus IQ brake controller to a 22292 plug adapter. I did not specifically order a tow package but I have the unused plug under the dashboard as shown in the installation video, where the 22292 would plug into. My question is: where does the other end of the under dashboard plug come out? Also: will my ion of components play nice together and with my Bronco? Thanks in advance,

I recommend using the Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness w Brake Controller Adapter # TK55VR to install the Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller # TK90160 and 7-way on your 2022 Ford Bronco. This Kit includes the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter # 22292.
The Hopkins Tail Light Converter Kit # HM48895 should not be used on your Bronco as this puts the power strain on the factory wiring and does not uses a powered converter like the Tekonsha above. Also the Pollak Black Plastic, 7-Pole # PK12-707E does not include any of the wiring like the kit above so you would need to provide all the additional wiring to run from the front of your Bronco to the rear. Since your Bronco did not include the tow package the wiring for a 7-way is not included and the output wire for the brake controller cannot be found at the back of the vehicle like on some other vehicles.
You will need a Mounting Bracket # 18138 to attach your 7-way. I recommend installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C76WR as it is a simple bolt on installation.
