Question:

Square bar load stops and load bats. I have a 6 and a half foot canopy. Smooth as a babys butt. So Im trying to figure out the best mounting option. Im thinking a flat bar coming up on the sides of canopy. Or a top mount but the leakage issue concerns me. Also strength concerns ? Any ideas or store bought mounts?

For your application I recommend checking out the Rhino-Rack Aero Bar Roof Rack for Camper Shells # Y02-480B as it comes with a track system and aero-style crossbars that help to cut down more on wind noise and drag than the classic square crossbars. Another reason why is because Thule doesn't have any type of system compatible with your crossbars.

This comes with all of the hardware needed for the installation as well as coverings for the holes to help prevent any leakage when it rains, although you're more than welcome to add some more sealant around the whole setup with something like the RTV 5699 # LT37464.
