Will the Westin Truck-Pal Fold-Up Bed Ladder # 10-3000 Fit with a Hard Tonneau Cover

Question:

looking at this as a gift if the bed has a hard cover on it will this still work? Looks like it might fold up higher then the top of the tailgate.

The Westin Truck-Pal Fold-Up Ladder, # 10-3000, will not interfere with your hard top tonneau cover if the mounting brackets are positioned correctly on your tailgate. The mounting brackets have a sliding bracket that allows the steps to slide on the mounting brackets (see photo). This allows the steps to slide below the top edge of the tail gate when the tailgate is up.

To get a little further or deeper in that question about hard tonneau cover I have a 2025 Toyota Tundra with a hard tonneau cover and I understand it will clear. the question I have is because it's stacked up, as the door shuts pass without hitting the tonneau cover?

@Robert Yes, we just recommend test fitting the mounting location before actually mounting it to the tailgate. You'll want to make sure you mount it low enough where it will still work past the tailgate, but fold up low enough to not hit the tonneau. We did have one person come back and tell us that they forget to lower the ladder all the way down before they closed their tailgate and it ended up cracking their hard tonneau.
