Will Westin Truck-Pal Fold-Up Bed Ladder Work on Ram 2500 with 41 Inch Tailgate Height

Question:
I read that the tailgate height should be no longer than 38 inches. I also read that the tailgate height may be slightly higher. My tailgate height is 40 to 41 inches. Will this work? I have a 2017 ram 2500, 4x4 mega cab, off-road edition.

As you mentioned in your question, the Westin Truck-Pal Fold-Up Bed Ladder # 10-3000 is designed for use on tailgates that are up to 38 inches in height. There may be a little bit of wiggle room over this height, but for your tailgate that is between 40 and 41 inches, this particular ladder might be too short to properly extend at an angle and rest on the ground.
Another option I recommend looking at is the Bestop TrekStep Truck Bumper Step # B75306. This spring-loaded step is actually custom-fit for your 2017 Ram 2500 and will extend or retract with just a push of your foot. The step bolts directly to the truck's bumper and will store beneath the bumper when not in use.
