If your tires are in good shape and don't have any bulges, the easiest way to determine if you have a bent spindle is to take a straight edge that is longer than the tire and lay it across the tire making sure it is parallel with your trailer frame and then measure the distance from the frame to the straight edge in front and back of the tire. If the distance is not the same the spindle will be bent.
I would recommend replacing your axle with The Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System w Electric Brake Hubs # A35RD545E. This system has 2 independent units that can eliminate the need for a thru axle which will increase ground clearance, and will fit any trailer width. The kit has a heavy-duty steel construction that has a black powder coat finish that will help resist wear and corrosion. It can either be bolted on or welded onto your trailer's frame.
