Question:
These cables are for a Jeep Wranglet running LT245/75R-16. Any difference between LT cables and pass anger car cables? Thanks

Expert Reply:
Yes, there is a slight difference between passenger car tires and light truck tires when it comes to using tire chains. Tire chain manufacturers will usually list chains/cables for regular tires and different chains/tires for light truck tires so even tires the same size may not be able to fit each others chains/cables.
For LT tires, be sure to use chains or cables for light truck tires in size 245/75-16 to ensure compatibility. Cables # PW1046 are for passenger cars, not for light truck tire equipped vehicles. When you choose chains by tire size rather than go through the vehicle fit guide, it will give you all the chains that fit that size, regardless of whether or not they are for light truck tires.
For ladder style cables that fit LT245/75-16 tires, use # PW2021C with rubber adjusters, # PW99. The adjusters help with installation and maintaining the proper tension. I have linked a video review of the cables for you. be sure to consult the Jeep owners manual for specific information on the use of chains. Also, I have linked our FAQ article on chains to the right.
