Hub Fit For 2,000 lb Dexter EZ-Lube Axle & Trailer Tire & 12 Wheel With 5 on 4-1/2 Bolt Pattern

I have now decided to widen the trailer that I’m building on my Haulin Trailer frame and will need a 64” axle. I’ve located a Dexter 2,000 lb EZ-Lube axle. This will work well for me since I can have the spring seats welded to the 49” that I need to fit the springs to my frame. I believe that you carry everything else that I’ll need. Can you recommend the Dexter hub (5 on 4½) w / bearings, races & seals that I’ll need for my 2,000 lb. load rated trailer? Last question: Would a boat trailer tire, such as your Kenda 480-12 or 530-12 be appropriate for this trailer? I appreciate all your help in this matter

Thanks for all that info and yes, we can absolutely get you the correct hub for your Dexter 2,000 lb EZ-Lube axle that will accept a 12 inch wheel (which would be appropriate since it has the correct load rating). The correct hub is the following:
- Easy Grease Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 2K Axles # AKIHUB-545-2-EZ-2K
This comes with the bearings, races, and grease seal so you don't have to purchase those separately. While it comes pre-greased, just for the future, if you happen to need grease and a grease gun use LubriMatic LMX Industrial Strength Grease # L11390 with LubriMatic Grease Gun # L30200.
Then for the tire and 12 inch wheel, you'll need a load range D, which has a 1,220 lb capacity (per-tire) and I recommend a radial tire as they run cooler and flex more compared to a bias tire. The best option is size ST145/R12, which measures 21.3" diameter and 5.7" wide. You can choose from the type of wheel you like:
- Kenda Karrier S-Trail ST145/R12 Radial Tire w/ 12" Galvanized Spoke Wheel # AM31202
For lug nuts with either tire or wheel use Americana Trailer Wheel Lug Nut # AM90049.
