Trailer Hitch For A 2011 Toyota Tundra

Question:

I have a 2011 Tundra Limited Crewmax. The factory hitch is present but the receiver is rusted completely and id like to replace the hitch assembly. I see that the factory one attaches to the bumper. Im assuming it I completely remove the hitch it is possible to install the curt 15398 hitch? Want to confirm it is compatible once the factory assembly is removed.

The trailer hitch has a bolt on installation with no welding required. It has a black powder coat finish over a protective base coat which offers a superior rust resistance.

The trailer hitch has a maximum gross trailer weight up to 16,000 pounds and has a maximum tongue weight up to 2,400 pounds. I recommend checking your vehicle's manual to find the proper towing capacity for your truck.

However when you remove the factory hitch you will be taking out some of the support for your rear bumper and they are not able to confirm how secure your bumper will be after installing the new trailer hitch.
