How To Choose Correct Replacement Fill Cap for Yakima RoadShower

Question:

Hi, we bought our Yakima Road Shower 7 gallon in 2021, but how can I be sure that this part will fit the one we bought meaning, that our model was made after 2020? This was the info on our invoice: Yakima 8004110 RoadShower MD, Medium 7 Gallon Capacity Portable Shower × 1 Is this the right part? Or should we buy the older, round cap that is now on sale? If you look at your existing fill cap you should be able to tell which you need as there's only two styles, round part # Y8881263 and hexagonal part # Y8881260. Therefore, so long as you replace with the same style that came off you don't have to worry about when it was manufactured. I can't speak to all RoadShower products but if it's branded Yakima that means it's a newer style and one of the above two caps will work.
