Question:
I have a 2022 Ram 3500 with a 6.5’ bed and a slide in camper. The camper overhangs about 14” past the center of the ball on my 6” hitch. What do I need for an extension and weight distribution in order to also tow my 2 horse trailer?

The Hitch Extender # HE12 will extend your trailer hitch receiver opening out from the rear of your vehicle to avoid obstacles. The extender has a solid steel shank and has a black powder coat that will help resist rust and corrosion. It will extend out 14 inches.
The weight capacity when using a weight distribution hitch will be up to 7,000 pounds and the tongue weight will be up to 700 pounds. Using this extender will reduce your hitch's overall capacity by 1/3.
The Fastway e2 Weight Distribution # FA92-00-0600 will work with a tongue weight between 250 pounds to 600 pounds. With your trailer weighting about 4,400 pounds after loading up the two horses you will be right in the middle which will work for you. When choosing a weight distribution hitch you will need to select one that is as close to your loaded tongue weight as possible. Having a lower or higher tongue weight then what is recommended will cause my issues then not having a distribution hitch at all.
The 2-5/16 inch hitch ball # EQ91-00-6100 and the 1-7/8 inch thin walled socket # EQ70-00-4800 are sold separately.
