Can The Brophy Hitch Reducer and Extender # HR26 Be Used as Only a Reducer Without an Extender?

Question:
Can this extender also be just used as an adapter? In other words, can you slide it in far enough that it is no longer used as an extender only an adapter? Id like to use it both ways - I dont know if the pin holes would allow it.

To verify if you will be able to use the Brophy Hitch Reducer and Extender # HR26 as both an adapter and a reducer you will need to measure your current receiver. The hitch pin center hole to the weld on the tube is 1-1/2" and 9-1/2" from the center pin hole to the end of the tube. I have included an image below with the measurements for you. If your truck will allow for those measurements you will be able to use this as both an extender and a reducer.
Otherwise you will need the Reducer Sleeve 2-1/2" to 2" # BWRHXA2182 to act as only a reducer.
