What Do Blue Lights Mean on Curt Echo

Question:
When the the Bluetooth brake device is plugged into my 7 way plug on my truck, should the blue light be flashing or constant to show it has 12 volt power?

The blue lights do not indicate power on the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180. The flashing blue light means the Echo is not paired and no trailer is connected, while a constant blue light means the Echo is paired and no trailer is connected.
There is not an indicator for the Echo regarding 12 volt power; you can see what all of the lights reference in the installation instructions which I have linked for you below.
