Question:

Hi, I have a 2004 F 250 crew cab truck with a campershell on back. I’m wanting a rack/basket to mount on the naked cab of the truck. I’m wanting to mount a few lights, solar panel and “L”or “U”shaped 4 inch pvc pipe to hold water for showers. What do you recommend that would work and hold the weight? Thanks!

Since your 2004 Ford F-250 Crew Cab has a naked roof without side rails, I recommend going with Yakima JetStream Crossbars item # Y00426, along with Towers item # Y28TR, and the BaseClip Fit Kit item # Y79QR. This is an aerodynamic roof rack that has less noise and vibration than other roof rack setups. It features the common T-slot channel on top for accessories to be easily installed. You can also add Locks item # Y07204 to secure the rack to your roof.

To add a cargo basket you will want the Thule Canyon XT Roof Cargo Basket item # TH859XT. The Thule Canyon is 49" long x 40" wide x 6" tall and has a plenty of capacity at 150 lbs.
