These custom fit tie-downs give you the safest and most comfortable ride when hauling a camper. They mount to the frame of your pickup - no drilling required! With the arms removed, the brackets can barely be seen.
Features:
If you're looking for the best tie-downs for your camper, frame-mounted is the way to go. The frame is the most solid part of your entire vehicle, so it just makes sense to attach your camper to something that's not going to warp, bend, or twist. Even more importantly, the camper's center of gravity will sit lower and its weight will be spread across the entire bed. This avoids a top-heavy load perched on top of your bed rails that's liable to sway and get pushed around by crosswinds. The camper's not going to shift or slide around while you drive; it's going to stay put, and your truck is going to handle just like it does without a camper.
Quick Tip: If you have a plastic or spray-in bed liner, it's important that you use a rubber mat under the camper to eliminate any sliding or bouncing.
Frame-mounted tie-downs are also a great pick for preserving your truck's good looks. The brackets install on the frame, tucked nearly flush with the underside of the vehicle. Remove the arms from the brackets when you're not hauling your camper, and the brackets will be barely visible.
Completely custom to your vehicle, the tie-downs attach to exisiting holes in your frame so that there's little to no drilling and no need for any modifications. Because they're custom, you'll want to use our in-house application guide to make sure you get the exact right model. The tie-downs you need might be different depending on what type of hitch or other accessories you have.
Once the tie-downs are installed, use a set of turnbuckles (sold separately) to secure the camper to the tie-downs. The shank on each arm has 2 pin holes so you can choose how far out they extend, that way the turnbuckles can reach the anchors on your camper without making contact with your truck. Tighten the turnbuckles to the correct level of tension (not too tight!).
Make sure the anchor points are offset from the tie-downs instead of lined up with them so that they will hold your camper from multiple angles. This is important for keeping your camper from shifting. Two holes in the attachment plate of the tie-downs let you find the best angle for you camper anchors.

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a look at these Torklift custom frame-mounted front camper tie downs. Now these are custom fit tie downs, and they're designed to be used on your 1999 to 2007 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty with a 6 3/4 foot bed without board or step underneath your truck bed and with a factory-installed hitch or with a non-Torklift aftermarket hitch or with a Torklift Super Hitch Magnum 30K or with a Torklift Super Hitch Original 20K. Now, on parts like these or a custom-fitted kit, I would recommend taking advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com. Input the year, make, and model of your vehicle and our fit guide will let you know if this will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. So these custom tie downs are going to provide attachment points at the front of your truck bed for securing a bed-mounted camper. The rear tie downs are sold separately.
And again, you can find those using our fit guide. And these brackets are going to fit tight to your truck's frame with no loss of ground clearance. And the frame-mounted design is going to ensure excellent handling, because securing your camper to your truck's base instead of its bed is going to better distribute weight to keep your setup for being too heavy. Now these are going to be virtually undetectable when they're not in use. The tie down inserts can be easily removed from the frame-mounted receiver brackets with the included pins.
So lemme just go ahead and give you a brief demonstration of that. So I'm just gonna go ahead and remove our pin, (pin clicks) just like that. And then that's going to allow you to remove the insert and then you can just take the inserts and put 'em in the back of the cab of your truck. And as you can see, you'll have this opening here, and then when you're ready to use it, you'll just slide it back in. By the way, I wanted to point out that these inserts do have two holes on them.
So if you need to extend these a little bit wider, you're just going to use the first hole. And then if you need to bring them in for not as wide of a camper, then you're just going to use that second hole. So I'm gonna go ahead and run that to the second hole here so it'll fit on my table, reinsert the bale pin here, and it's got a nice tight tension on there. There we go, we're snapped back into place, (metal clanking) and we are good to go. Now these are made here in the USA of powder coated steel, (metal clanking) and you are going to receive everything that you see here on my table before me.
You're going to receive the two front tie down inserts, the two frame brackets, and all of the necessary hardware that I've laid out here for you is included, along with a set of instructions to walk you through the installation process. And this does have a lifetime warranty from Torklift. Well, that's gonna conclude our brief look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
