Question:

Mounting the wiring plug, but where does it go? The instructions say to mount it to the main receiver bracket, but there are no rods there, as mentioned in the instructions. This is for a 2022 Tahoe Z71. Thx

I assume you're talking about the plug for your diode wiring # RM-152-98146-7, in which case, since there isn't a mounting bracket available on the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM64ZR your only option would be to mount to the grill or fascia of your 2022 Chevy Tahoe Z71.

Typically if we have baseplates like these we cut a hole in the fascia for the wiring to pass through and mount the plug directly to the fascia using some self-tapping screws. I've seen quite a few people also just use zip ties to secure the plug to the grill so that they don't have to put any extra holes in the fascia.

If you'd like fix your plug more permanently to the fascia you can also use the Demco Mounting Bracket Kit for 4-, 5-, or 6-Pole Round Sockets # DM9523056 and mount it to the underbelly of your fascia for a more discreet look.
