Does Solera Awning Use Cotter Pin or Screw to Connect to Motor Shaft

Question:

Does the solara awning end cap require a screw be inserted in the hole where the drive pin would be inserted? There are two holes opposite each other in the end cap.

It looks like some of the Solera awnings use a cotter pin while others use a wax screw to connect the roller tube cap to the motor pin so it just depends on what kit you have. For example, the Solera 12V Electric RV Awning Conversion Kit # LC434724 uses cotter pins for this purpose.

If you let me know what kit you're installing I can let you know what you'll need although the kit should have come with the parts needed to make the conversion.
