Question:

I have a 16.5ft aluminum fishing boat im looking to upgrade my transom tiedowns, right now I use a cam bucket system, the problem I have is my boat is only equipped with the aluminum handles and not the ubolt eyes..is there a retractable transom strap that will work with my application? similar to the picture provided

I recommend adding 2 of the Erickson Eye Tie-Down Anchors # EM53909 to your fishing boat. Since the handles in the image you provide are held on by what looks to be screws into the boat I do not feel they are strong enough to take the abuse when driving down the road. The anchor provides a larger surface area to spread the weighton the surface of the boat.
