Today we will be reviewing part number EM53909. This is the Erickson I tie down anchor for your boat, transom or bowel. The sturdy I anchor is going to add or replace a tie down pullet on your boats transom or bowel. It's made from a nice stainless steel construction, so it is going to withstand salt water environments. It's also going to stand up well against rust and corrosion. It also includes the washer and the nut for easier mounting. The rod dimension is going to give us a thickness of 3/8 of an inch and overall length of right around 3 inches.
This portion here is going to measure 2 x 1 3/4 of an inch and the opening is going to give us a diameter of about 7/8 of an inch. The way that you would install this is you'd place the rod through the hole and then you would use your washer and nut to secure everything into position to create that nice secure tie down anchor that you need on your boat. That's going to do it for today's look at part number Em53909. That's the Erickson I tie down anchor. .
Works great and has a low price
Strong and look great.
great price, fast shipping.
I can't even describe how great etrailer customer service is. I ordered several small parts I couldn't find elsewhere or were 12 times the price for the same thing. Shipping was to Canada just as our postal strike began. etrailer kept me posted on what was going on, offered alternatives, and actually called me to let me know my order was once again in transit. I am really impressed with this company.
Excellent replacement part. Fits perfectly in place of original.

Product is working great. Same as the original part.
Mounted 3 of these on each side of our small travel trailer. Main reason was to anchor the inside rails that our cabinets are mounted to to assure that they don't shake loose. Outside the anchors are attachment points for shades or a clothesline. It all works great.

Ive been asked to update my review. It has worked as concieved. If we park where there is sun on our fridge, I deploy a sun tarp to provide shade to that area of our camp trailer. We use the others as needed. So we have canopies that the wind doesnt rip off the trailer, or a drying line are the usual chores. The other reason for the install was to reinforce the interior cabinets and I havent had anything loosen since I made this modification. It is practically invisible and when noticed it looks nice.
I looked for a while to find something like this that was not galvanized nor just a mounted ring. Good build quality but I do suggest adding some thread lock to the threaded rod before installation
I used this to put on my Silverado for attaching my Trailer Brake break away cable to make it easier and to be separate from the safety chain shackles. Just an idea if you don't mind drilling your bumper.
These tie-down will work fine I think, but the originals had a pin between the tie-down and the boat which prevented the tie-down from rotating.
I ordered this boweye because it is stainless, instead of just being a chromed metal. The threaded rod that screws into the base of the boweye appears to also be stainless for extended use around salt water.
These were the exact products I was looking for mounting ropes to my pontoon boat
Be careful. These tie-downs are hallow not solid and should not be used to tow your boat. The pictures are miss leading. I'm returning mine

These are not designed for any towing application and should not be used in such a manner. These are tie-down points for securing a bow or transom to a trailer. The weight of the boat is supported by the trailer bunks, these tie-downs are to be used only to keep the boat from shifting on the trailer. In such an application, the hollow base of the tie-down can hold up to the task.
I used these for a truck tool box tie down, worked very well. The thread is long but you can cut it shorter if you need to. All stainless hardware. Great product!
Product as described. Replaced the original tie-downs on my 1970-ish boat that were damaged during transom replacement.
Works like it should
The threaded stud was bigger in diameter than previous eyelets (stock - one bent other one broke off) . This was a benefit with increased strength and better quality than stock ones. Included stainless nut and washer. I am happy with quality and price. Good purchase!
