Troubleshooting Switches Not Working Properly For Lippert Electric Trailer Jack

Question:

The extend retract switch doesnt work on my Lippert Jack model # 1817941 The light has power and turns on and off. If I remove the top cover for the jack, how could I test the switch to see if it needs to be replaced?

When it comes to checking your retract/extend functions not working it sounds like you may just need to swap some wiring on the back. I will attach picture of the wire swaps. It sounds funny but per the manfuacturer that does seem to help. If that doesn't work I would recommend purchasing the new replacement head # LC285160.
