Updated 03/25/2026 | Published 03/17/2026

Question:

I have converter series 7300 model 7345 45 amps 775 watts with regular die hard deep cycle batteries Batteries are not being charged, first noticed dim light and appliances not working. What converter would I need to purchase? Thank you

Dang I'm sorry to hear that. It does sound like the converter/charger section is going bad so I'd replace it.

The Progressive Dynamics Replacement Section for AC/DC Power Distribution Panel - 45 Amp # PD4645V you were looking at is actually a direct fit for your 7345 model. You won't have to modify anything as it's designed to drop in place and wire up. It'll work fine with your current lead acid batteries, but it's also compatible with lithium and AGM if you ever switch to that.

What kind of RV do you have?

@BryanS So there isn't a direct replacement for the power center itself since there are many models, but we can hopefully match something close so you don't have to modify the cut out, or if you do, it's minimal trimming etc. A common option for that is the Progressive Dynamics 4000 Series Mini RV Converter w/ Charge Wizard and AC/DC Distribution Panel # PD4045KA which requires cutout hole of 10-3/4" long x 7-1/4" tall. If this is way off on size, let me know and I can try to find a better fit. Keep in mind, this needs hardwired and it's not a direct plug and play as this is the case with all power center swaps.

I got one of these ro replace the original unit in my 2004 Roadtrek. It was still working fine, but I wanted to switch out older deep cycle batteries for lithium. Unlike the original, the replacement handles lithium and is a smart charger so no overcooking the batteries. Quality product and etrailer was great to work with.

I replaced the power distribution panel with this unit about a year and half ago. I’m a decent do-it-yourselfer and had no problem replacing the power distribution panel in my 2012 Winnebago access 31c. I have had zero issues since replacement. I recommend this unit.

I installed the replacement module and it has been working great. It’s a little bit of a pain but it’s worth every bit of effort. Now my appliances are all working fine and the charging system is doing good as well. I fiddle diddled around with the system till it just became the obvious choice to replace it and no regrets. Advice, be careful to lable and photograph all wires going in and out to make sure you are safe in returning them to the correct locations . If the wires are not long enough, double check for proper replacement. Worth every penny spent and work done. Happy trails!
