Differences Between Smoke Vent Covers and White Vent Covers

Question:

Compared to the white covers do the smoke colored covers have any advantages and do they tend to last longer.

The smoke might let a little more light through it, but nothing that noticeable. And aside from that either color does not have the reputation as lasting longer than the other.

The white version is part # BV0554-01 and the smoke version is part # BV0554-03.

If you check out the pictures I attached you will see the differences in how the light comes through the cover.
