Since the Fan-Tastic Vent Model 6500 is no longer in production, your best option is to upgrade to the 7350 series by way of the Fan-Tastic Vent 7350 Series Upgrade Kit # FV807359.
This kit includes the screen assembly, the powered lift, and the remote control like you mention.
It may be all-around smarter to just upgrade the entire unit as the upgrade kit costs about the same as an entire unit.
If you're interested, the Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Thermostat # FV802250 which is a manual lift, or you can check out the Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Thermostat # FV803350 which is a powered lift are both great options, that feature a 12v fan and a variable speed fan that has two modes of operation.
