Where Does Redarc Tow Pro Brake Controller Install on 2022 Ram 1500

Question:

I came across something on your site under this item for a 2019 Ram 3500 and it mentioned the factory pigtail for the trailer brake is behind the panel in the center stack under the Uconnect system. Since my truck is the same 5th generation Ram, does that mean I can find the plug behind that knockout too? And if so, do I stuff the brains box back there too? The last controller I installed was a Curt Spectrum on my Jeep Gladiator and everything was under the dash behind the steering column. I secured the brains of that one to a cross member behind the kick panel and snaked the controller knob out to left of the steering wheel...no drilling in the dash was needed at all. It would be quite a pain to have to access under the center stack...especially if I dont want the controller knob to live there! Thanks

On your 2022 Ram 1500 the brake controller install harness you are looking for is under the dash, to the right of the of the steering column taped to another harness. The install harness part # 331-TPH-020 is correct for your truck to install the Redarc Tow Pro Elite # RED44FR. You can pretty easily hide the brain/module of this controller under your dash like you are wanting to do as well.
