Question:
My landing gear is making a noise and actually stalls out when I’m lifting my 35 foot grand junction 5th wheel. The motor is model 1-065-041012-01. Im thinking the gear box is going bad but would like your input if possible. Also could I replace the motor and gear box with a heavier lift capacity than what is on there?

Expert Reply:
The correct replacement for your 1-065-041012-01 motor is part # LC141893 from Lippert which means the correct replacement gear box is the part # LC276602. There isn't a heavier duty option available than what you have currently. If the jacks are hard to crank by hand I would say the problem is the gear box like you mentioned but if they are easy to crank by hand it would be the motor.
