Replacement Motor for Lippert Model 1-065-041012-01 Landing Gear

Question:

on my fifth wheel, I have a Lippert Model 1-065-041012-01 12 V DC motor, for raise the two jacks. Will your LG-196308 be an equivalent or better replacement? Will it bolt right up without modifications? Thanks!

The correct replacement for your 1-065-041012-01 motor is part # LC141893 from Lippert. Your original motor had a 7140 rpm speed. The Stromberg-Carlson # LG-196308 you specified has a 5430 rpm output, so it wouldn't be a good choice. You'll want the replacement motor to match the output of the original.

I've linked you to a product description video for the replacement motor.

@Perry Hi Perry. My 1-065-041012-01 landing gear motor, yes its 7140 RPM. My problem is it will blow 3 or 4 30amp fuses to lift it. I need something with more torque. What should I get?

@KurtF We don't have something with a higher torque, but I do wonder if you might be possibly overloading your landing gear? Landing gear might struggle some at higher capacities, but it shouldn't be blowing fuses if you're within the limits of your system and all of your wiring connections are in good condition.
