When installing on a 2011 BMW X5 35i, will I need to trim the bumper plastic like the other brand need to do?

Per the linked instructions, the etrailer brand # e84AR Class III hitch will require trimming a 4 x 2-1/4 inch piece of the bumper fascia away. I've linked to an install video for the # 13077 hitch which installs in the same manner.
