Can Bright Way Push-to-Test Trailer Breakaway Kit Be Submerged On Boat Trailer

Question:
This will be installed on a 20ft boat trailer. Can it be installed on a 30deg angle? To the Wench post of my trailer? Can it with stand being submerged for short periods of times? At times the battery box may be submerged, depending on the launch and weather conditions? This is why I may need to mount it in the wench post/tube.

A breakaway like the Bright Way Push-to-Test Trailer Breakaway Kit with 1-Amp Charger and 5 Ah Battery - Top Load # 3802308 is weatherproof but not waterproof. Although it can stand up to rain you do not want to submerge it.
The breakaway can be mounted however you see fit as long as it is secure on the trailer and the breakaway switch can function as intended. Installing it on your winch post will not cause a problem.
