I’m interested in the Yakima off grid roof basket for my Outback wilderness. Can the extension be used for less then 18’? Can I use my sunroof with the cargo basket installed? How much is the extension? TY

The Yakima Offgrid part # Y07138 that you referenced would fit the factory crossbars of your Subaru Outback Wilderness with or without the additional extension part # Y07108 that you also mentioned. The extension price is available at the attached link.
Your sunroof may open still with this rack installed but you'll find that the wind noise created would make you want to keep it closed.
