Note: This adapter is designed to flat tow a vehicle only. Do not use to tow a trailer. When using with a hitch-mounted accessory, such as a bike rack or cargo carrier, the tongue weight of your hitch will be reduced by at least 50 percent.
Most tow systems require some sort of hitch accessory to either raise or lower the tow bar to an appropriate level. The "Safe Zone" for a motor-home-mounted tow bar ranges from 3" above level to 3" below. Car-mounted models must be absolutely level. This high-low adapter can provide you with the necessary drop or desired rise to achieve a level tow bar setup.

Perfect for my application. I needed to raise my tow bar connection to my car a couple of inches to help prevent the bar from dragging in low spots. This accomplished that and I very happy with the quality of the receiver extension.

Wow, delivery was super fast on this 2" drop receiver. I ordered it Sunday night and received it on Wednesday. My roadmaster tow bar was slanting just under 3" so this should do the trick to get it closer to level. My only regret is that I forgot to order a second hitch pin to go with it, and had to run out to the store to buy one. :-)
Good quality... arrived super fast... I got free shipping as I added some safety cables to my order that I needed anyway... The Safety Cables are needed to extend my tow hitch safety cables for the added length of the drop down hitch and a Ready Brake that I use to stop my toad....
I am giving it 2 stars only for the fast service by etrailer. The product alone I'm not happy with. Went to pick up our new RV and our Jeep's tow bar would only go in a 1/3 of the way. Seemed to be more than just paint. We had to force it in to get to the first hole just so I could get the Jeep home. I will be requesting etrailer take this product back.
Roadster makes very high quality products for towing vehicles behind motor homes. This product is used for leveling the motor home hitch to the tow bar from the towed vehicle. Construction, material and finish are excellent. eTrailer delivered this in two days. Excellent delivery and service from eTrailer.
The two inch adapter was used on my wheelchair ramp to lower it for easier transport of the wheelchair on and off the ramp. The assembly itself was met without any problems. The only addition I incorporated was to use some WD-40
on the inner ridges of the adapter to allow sliding the adapter on easier.
I felt etrailer delivered a good product which was easy to use. I am a disabled 64 year old woman who is in great appreciation of your company.
I purchased a Roadmaster rise/drop hitch in order for my motor home to flat tow a Jeep Grand Cherokee more level. I searched the internet for the best prices on several hitch brands. I found the combination of Roadmaster and eTrailer to be very reasonably priced and of excellent quality. This is at least my third purchase of towing components from etrailer, and I have always had timely deliveries and very courteous support. I think I’m at the point of just shopping etrailer in the future, rather than wasting time comparison shopping.

Solved my problem of not enough spare tire clearance on the hitch-mounted storage rack I had bought. Solid construction, easy to use, as are the hitch pins and storage bag.
Arrived quickly and appears to be excellent quality. I acually needed a 4" lift.
Adapter solved the problem with the tow bar being just a little too high behind our RV. This adapter leveled the tow bar. Vehicle towed fine during recent 78 mile trip.

I run a motorhome during the summer. I changed towed vehicles from a Truck to a SUV. This Hi/Lo receiver is what I required to ensure a straight tow. I went with the heavier 10K rating. Etrailer may not be the cheapest on the net, however very reliable. The picture shows the finish tow setup. The piece above everything is a motorcycle lift.
Works well on my 2014 Wrangler Unlimited. Yakima Swing Daddy - 4 bike rack.
I am able to open the gate completely until it locks.

Everything has worked out fine. Weve used the equipment quite a bit since the fall for our bird hunting trips. Rather than use the straps on the bag I just secure it in the rack with bungee cords. Much faster to load and unload.
