When it comes to installing a trailer hitch on your 2005 Honda Pilot The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2 inch # e98851 will fit your vehicle. We do have installers near you that will install it. The hitch has a bolt-on design that has a concealed cross tube so after installed it will have a sleeker look then other hitches because it is closer to the frame of the vehicle. The hitch can tow up to 3,500 pounds and has a tongue weight up to 350 pounds. I would check your vehicle's manual to double check what the proper towing capacity is.
