Fit of Eco Hitch X7404 on 2022 Toyota Prius AWD

Question:

Will it fit my 22 Prius AWD? I want to use for cargo carrier is it better to have 2” receiver vs 1 1/4” receiver. Does it require any cutting of bumper or body parts?

According to EcoHitch, their X7404 hitch, which we offer as part # EH53VR is a fit for your 2022 Toyota Prius AWD.

The install involves removing the rear bumper and bumper fascia temporarily, as well as trimming an under-body panel (not the fascia). The trimmed portion won't be visible from the rear of the vehicle. I'll provide a photo from the instructions showing exactly what needs to be trimmed. You can also just leave the panel off if you wish.

I also have a 2022 Prius Awd (XLE if that matters). I don’t have that under panel on my car. Does eh53vr still fit? If so, does that mean no trimming at all? Also - can I look at the installation instructions somewhere?

@SteveS The # EH53VR will fit your 2022 Prius. If the under panel shown in the above answer isn't on your vehicle, you won't need to do any trimming. I'll send you a .pdf of the instructions in a separate email.
