How Does The Brophy Tailgate Scissor Step Mounting Bracket Install On A 2020 Toyota Tundra

Question:

If you want to permanently mount the TSSB mounting bracket to a truck Toyota Tundra 2020 tailgate what do you do with the pins?? It looks like the pins on the underside of the plate would not let you flush mount the plate? Thanks

To install the Brophy Tailgate Scissor Step Mounting Bracket # TSSB on your 2020 Toyota Tundra, you're going to:

1. Measure the distance from the center for the "L" pin to the center of the other "L" pin.

2. Now, mark center of each hole 5/8" from the edge of the tailgate, and drill a 7/16" hole at the two points marked earlier.

3. Next, position the Tailgate Scissor Step Bracket so that the "L" pins are facing down.

4. Finally, insert the bracket's "L" pins into the drilled holes and slowly turn the bracket so that it will go over the edge of the tailgate and lock into place.
